Building the Next Generation of Engineered Wood Products

ArborLoq is developing advanced building materials for residential and light commercial construction.

Current Focus

ArborLoq is in early-stage product development, evaluating feedstock pathways, manufacturing approaches, and prototype designs for next-generation engineered wood products.

Turning Underutilized Wood Fiber into Structural Building Products

ArborLoq is exploring how underutilized wood fiber and novel biomass streams can be converted into consistent, high-performance structural building materials using modern engineering and manufacturing approaches.

What We’re Building

Engineered Wood Products

ArborLoq is developing engineered wood products designed to compete with dimensional lumber and conventional engineered wood systems, with emphasis on consistency, structural performance, and scalable manufacturing.

Founder

ArborLoq was founded by Chad Yates, an engineer with more than 25 years of experience working across complex industrial systems where performance, economics, and real-world constraints matter.

His career spans offshore energy, advanced manufacturing, and carbon removal, using digital tools to understand complex systems and improve their performance.

From simulation-driven offshore technologies and machine learning-powered decision support to advanced metal additive manufacturing and direct air carbon capture, the common thread has been applying emerging tools to solve hard industrial problems.

Across these domains, a consistent pattern emerged: the hardest problems are rarely solved by better components alone, but by better systems designed for reality.

ArborLoq applies that same systems-driven mindset to building materials.

ArborLoq believes that better systems create better outcomes, and that environmental benefits should follow from disciplined engineering and execution, not compromise.
